The purpose of the course is to provide a quality certification that meets CMS requirements while reducing the time commitment of veteran agents who are already well versed in the MA and Part D market. The course is affordable and provides an optimum number of continuing education credits. The Medicare Advantage Certification is an online program comprised of three training modules and a comprehensive final exam that must be passed within six attempts with an 85% or higher. The online material includes basic Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and fraud, waste, and abuse training. NABIP’s Benefit Specialist Institute provides a comprehensive online program that gives an agent the background to make informed decisions on Medicare, including plan options, marketing, and enrollment requirements.

• Upcoming plan year changes according to CMS guidelines 
• Trends in the Medicare marketplace
• Medicare marketing & communication requirements
• Fraud, waste, and abuse

Continuing Education and Carrier Acceptance
Continuing education (CE) credits are included in your purchase at no additional charge. The Medicare Advantage Certification has been filed for CE credits in all 50 states. Please check your state for CE credit approval status before registration (status by state and rules).

The number of plan sponsors accepting NABIP’s Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Compliance Requirements Certification training increases daily. The current list of 2025PY sponsors accepting the NABIP training may be found here. It is your responsibility to check this list and confirm your plan sponsor will accept the NABIP training before you enroll.
